Tech. Sgt. Brent Stiefel, 386th Expeditionary Security Forces Squadron Viper team flight chief, marks and photographs an unexploded ordinance while on a routine patrol on Oct. 22, 2008 at an air base in Southwest Asia. The Viper teams patrol the area outside of the base for UXO's and interact with the local population to ensure a relationship with the host nation remains strong. Sergeant Stiefel is deployed from Kadena Air Base, Japan., and hails from Chicago, Ill.
