Marines and Sailors with Kilo Battery, 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit, use riot control tactics against mock protesters during a Noncombatant Evacuation Operation and Evacuation Control Center, Oct. 8, 2008, on Camp Hansen during Evaluation Exercise 09. The MEU conducted the NEO and ECC exercise as apart of EVALEX in order to complete their semi annual training measuring the MEU on its proficiency of completing its core capabilities as a maritime contingency force.
