Staff Sgt. Gregory Savvas, a squad leader and combat engineer from Killeen, Texas, assigned to Company E, 1st Battalion, 22nd Infantry Regiment, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division, Multi-National Division – Baghdad, searches a future student of the Job Focus Training Program during the first day of registration at the Jihad Civil Services Department Oct. 5 in the Rashid District of southern Baghdad. Soldiers of the "Regulars" Bn., 22nd Inf. Regt., are responsible for providing local security for the registration process and the first day of the vocational classes, as well as assisting the former Sons of Iraq members transition into the three-month vocational training program, created to provide Iraqis marketable job skills needed for gainful employment in the Iraqi workforce. Classes are scheduled to begin Oct. 18.
