Col. Todd Desgrosseilliers, the commanding officer of the Basic School, speaks with officer candidates, March 21, 2014 during a three-day Mini-Officer Candidates School course here. Desgrosseilliers shared his experiences as a Marine officer and told the candidates what to expect at The Basic Course. Those candidates that complete Officer Candidate School will then go on to endure an additional 26 weeks at TBS where the newly commissioned Marine officers will learn the art and science of leading enlisted Marines.
