Frank Carranco, the officer selection assistant for Recruiting Station Orlando, evaluates officer candidate Samira Denijs during the leadership reaction course portion of the three-day Mini-OCS course here, March 22, 2014. The Leadership Reaction Course was designed to reinforced the importance of the teamwork and test an individual's leadership ability and problem solving skills. Many of the officer candidates that attended the course here will attend the real OCS in Quantico, Va., where they will endure ten weeks of grueling training and evaluation to determine their fitness to lead Marines as Marine officers.
