Marines with 1st Marine Regiment stage rifle cases as they load their gear onto a truck during a farewell aboard Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, Calif., Feb. 10, 2014. The regiment has participated in every major conflict since World War II and will be the last regimental combat team to deploy in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.
