Cpl. Hue Moua, left, a administrative clerk with Headquarters Company, Regimental Combat Team 5, and Cpl. Charlie Beaston, a mortarman assigned to mobile assault platoon, RCT-5, practice prisoner detention techniques, Sept. 3, 2008, behind the gymnasium aboard Camp Ripper. The Marines are part of Provincial Rifle Platoon 3 and were participating in training for the platoon. Beaston is one of 14 infantry Marines assigned to PRP-3, but Moua and about 30 other Marines in the platoon come from a variety of non-infantry military occupational specialties, and the training was meant as a way of developing unit cohesion and reinforcing basic rifleman skills that may have become rusty since Marine Combat Training.
