U.S. Army Sgt. 1st Class Eston Simmons stands with other recently inducted members of the Sergeant Audie Murphy Club Dec. 23, 2013, at Bagram Air Field, reciting the creed of the noncommisioned officer as their first act as members. Simmons is a Lake City, Fla. native who serves as the master gunner of 5th Battalion, 25th Field Artillery Regiment, 4th Brigade Combat Team, 10th Mountain Division.
