A Marine takes up a hasty defensive position Dec. 5 during Exercise Chromite. Marines assaulted and secured the positions in Combat Town while searching for simulated chemical weapons. In the scenario, the Marines assaulting the objective were pitted against an opposing force of Marines acting as enemy aggressors. The Marines securing combat town are with Company F, 2nd Battalion, 6th Marine Regiment, currently assigned to 4th Marine Regiment, 3rd Marine Division, III Marine Expeditionary Force, under the unit deployment program.
