Sgt. Henry L. Butts, a team leader with 1st Platoon, Company A, 4th Assault Amphibian Battalion, Multi-National Force - West, watches as the CH-53E helicopter he's riding in prepares for landing, Aug. 22, 2008, at Al Asad Air Base, Iraq. Once the ramp was lowered, Butts and the other Marines in his stick sprinted to their positions to provide support for the assault stick of 1st Plt. The platoon was learning quick reaction force maneuvers. The battalion, now tasked as the QRF for MNF-W after four months of serving as a provincial rifle team, is learning their new responsibilities make western Iraq safer.
