Staff Sgt. David Andrus, 415th Civil Affairs Battalion, is given an Army Commendation medal from Lt. Col. John Lyons, 415th Civil Affairs Battalion commander, Aug. 20, 2013. Andrus is the senior medic for the battalion and took charge of an accident scene he and his company encountered on their way to training. The Soldiers stayed at the scene until all the injured were loaded into ambulances and then continued to their training.
