Lance Cpl. Christopher Ryan and Lance Cpl. Jonathan Mullins conduct maintenance on an arresting gear system, which acts as an anchor and liquid break for the landing aircraft, during field arrestment training at Clark Air Field, Pampanga, Republic of the Philippines, Sept. 25 as part of Amphibious Landing Exercise 2014. The recurrence of PHIBLEX, now in its 30th year, demonstrates the commitment of the U.S. and Republic of the Philippines to mutual security and their long-time partnership.
