News StoriesLiving the Army Values The United States Army teaches soldiers to try to live up to its seven values which are; Loyalty, Duty, Respect, Selfless Service, Honor, Integrity, and Personal Courage. Soldiers should try to live up to the Army values both on duty and off.
According to the army.mil website, Selfless Service is defined as, “Put the welfare of the nation, the Army and your subordinates before your own. Selfless service is larger than just one person. In serving your country, you are doing your duty loyally without thought of recognition or gain.”
