Brig. Gen. Mark Stammer, the Senior Commander of the 101st Airborne (Air Assault) and Fort Campbell, passes the 3rd Brigade Combat Team colors to Col. J.B. Vowell, the incoming Commander of 3BCT, during a change of command ceremony, August 1, 2013. The passing of the colors signifies the outgoing commander relinquishing authority over the troops so the incoming commander can assume command over the Soldiers. The colors were passed to Gen.
