    III Marine Expeditionary Force   

    Pfc. Nathaniel A. Henthorne engages and suppresses targets July 22 at Range 10 near Camp Schwab during a combined-arms exercise. Marines with Combat Engineer Co., CAB, worked with mortarmen with 3rd Battalion, 6th Marine Regiment, to suppress targets with medium and light machine gun fire along with 60 mm mortars, allowing a squad of combat engineers to maneuver to and reduce obstacles. The engineers used bangalore torpedoes to clear a path through the danger area before confirming the passageway was clear and marked the lane for follow-on forces. Henthorne is a combat engineer with Combat Engineer Co., CAB, 3rd Marine Division, III MEF. 3rd Bn., 6th Marines, is assigned to 4th Marines, 3rd Marine Division, III MEF, under the unit deployment program
