Cmdr. Timothy Tippet, commanding officer of Strike Fighter Squadron (VFA) 131, exits his F/A-18C Hornet following his return to the Naval Air Station (NAS) Oceana flightline. VFA-131, assigned to Carrier Air Wing (CVW) 7, returned to NAS Oceana, following their 2nd deployment aboard the aircraft carrier USS Dwight D. Eisenhower (CVN 69), in the past 12 months, to the U.S. 6th Fleet area of responsibility in support of maritime security operations and theater security cooperation efforts.
