Blake, a section leader deployed with "Assassin" Troop at a joint security station in the Rashid district, said that this recognition would not have been possible without the support of his Soldiers. "I like to set high standards and goals for myself because I believe that if I do that, it is an example for my Soldiers," said Blake, a veteran of 12 years service and three deployments in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.

"They have all the character and leadership and all the good qualities and traits that one would find in an NCO. They are humble, and true caring leaders."
