3rd CAB weathers hail storm

Army Spc. Samuel Miller, from Ahwahnee, Calif., fastens rivets to a helicopter stabilater on Kandahar Airfield, Afghanistan May 22. Victor Guzman, an ammo specialist from Brownsville, Texas, assigned to Company A, 404th Aviation Support Battalion, pick up ammo for Phipps' unit at the Ammo Transfer Holding Point here July 11. The munitions personnel receive, store and issue the ammo used by the Combat Aviation Brigade while deployed.

Kris Woodburn, a Longbow Apache helicopter mechanic from Owego, N.Y., assigned to Company A, 1-4 Avn. Regt., remove a Hellfire missile from a Longbow Apache helicopter as Spc. Eben Gonzales, an Apache mechanic from Marshall, Texas, assigned to Co. A, 1-4 Avn. Regt., observes. Ammunition that is maintained at the CAB's Ammo Transfer Holding Point eventually finds it way onto the brigade's attack helicopters.
