Tennessee Air Guardsman receives Star of Life Award for cave rescue

Maj. Keith Evans of the 118th Aeromedical Evacuation Squadron, Nashville, Tenn., shown in his civilian flight uniform, who along with numerous Maury County emergency personnel and the Vanderbilt Lifeflight team were presented the Star of Life Award by the Tennessee Emergency Medical Services for Children Organization. The award recognized the outstanding lifesaving efforts of the emergency services that conducted rescue efforts during a September 2012 cave explorer’s medical emergency.
