Hospital Corpsman 2nd Class Alberto Garza, Navy Operational Support Center Ventura County, listens to Navy pilot Lt. Warren Mayhugh as he shows a F4A-U model during a Flag Day celebration at the Sunrise Senior Living Center. Mayhugh flew a Corsica during the war. The sailors visited the facility to spend time with veterans and pay tribute to the U.S. flag as a part of the Spirit of ’45 celebration. Organized by VITAS Innovative Hospice Care and Sunrise, the event gave younger military a chance to hear the stories from their predecessors.
