Representatives from multiple Asia-Pacific nations greet each other during the opening ceremony of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations Humanitarian Assistance/Disaster Relief and Military Medicine Exercise (AHMX) at the Multinational Coordination Centre in Muara, Brunei Darussalam, June 17. More than 2,500 multinational personnel from 18 Asia-Pacific nations are participating in the ASEAN exercise, which provides a platform for regional partner nations to address shared security challenges, strengthen defense cooperation, enhance interoperability and promote stability in the region.
