Staff Sgt. Miguel Diaz, Special-Purpose Marine Air-Ground Task Force Africa 13 mechanic from Tucson, Ariz., is promoted to his current rank by Maj. Gen. The Marines with Special-Purpose MAGTF Africa 13 are the first reserve Marines to serve in Tripoli in an official capacity, providing additional security to the U.S. Embassy. Special-Purpose MAGTF Africa strengthens U.S. Marine Corps Forces Africa and U.S. Africa Command’s ability to assist partner nations in addressing their security challenges.
