Children and adults of Yasy Cany, Paraguay, wait in line in order to receive free medical and social services during a two-day Paraguayan-led medical civic action program June 1. Poverty rates are high in the small farming district. The Paraguayan military and its Civil Affairs elements work closely with a number of different government agencies such as the Ministry of Public Health, Ministry of Justice and various other agencies and civic groups to bring these services to the country's poorest regions. SOCSOUTH plays a vital role in assisting their Paraguayan partners conduct these missions.
