(Left) Army Brig. Gen. Sean P. Mulholland, the commander of Special Operations Command South, greets U.S. service members May 7 to Lima, Peru. During his visit to the region, Mulholland spoke with Peruvian military commanders to discuss a range of topics including military collaboration, improving regional security as well as observing an ongoing U.S.-Peruvian military exercise. As the special operations component for U.S. Southern Command (USSOUTHCOM), SOCSOUTH, headquartered at Homestead Air Reserve Base, Fla., assists special operations partners across Central and South America and the Caribbean to build its military capacity.
