Capt. Kevin Vandagriff, 15th Airlift Squadron C-17 Globemaster III pilot, holds his 5-month old son Spencer May 4, 2013, at Joint Base Charleston – Air Base, S.C., after returning home from a two-month deployment to Southwest Asia. The squadron flew 1,000 sorties while safely moving 40 million pounds of cargo and 5,000 passengers throughout the area of responsibility.
