Sergeant Mark Armstrong, a section chief serving with Kilo Battery, 3rd Battalion, 12th Marine Regiment, attached to 2nd Battalion, 11th Marines, recently returned from back-to-back deployments. Armstrong, a native of Hills, Iowa, works with the M777 Lightweight Howitzer and high mobility artillery rocket system. He recently participated during Exercise Desert Scimitar, a combined-armed training exercise.
