From back, Navy Aviation Warfare Systems Operators Chief Jay Okonek and 1st Class Petty Officer Jason Blase, aircrew men from the "Merlins" of Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron (HSC) 3, help guide pilots as they fill a 360-gallon capacity precision helicopter firefighting Bambi bucket to help extinguish fires near Naval Base Ventura County (NBVC) Point Mugu's base housing. Three helicopters from San Diego-based HSC 3 and HSC 21 are providing firefighting support in response to wildfires at NBVC.
