Gunnery Sgt. Ben Holmes discusses what it means to be odd with a group of children during the Military Child Education Coalition's Tell Me a Story event at the Warrior Hope and Care Center here April 30. Holmes read "Odd Velvet" which helps teach kids that being odd just means you're different, and being different is OK. Tell Me a Story is an initiative created to empower military children through associating their own lives with children's books that teach a lesson.
