U.S. Air Force Capt. Dan Curtin, right, embraces former Tech. Sgt. Corley’s convoy was ambushed on March 29, 2003, while in route to provide backup to Capt. Curtin’s team during a multi-day firefight with Taliban insurgents near Kandahar. A decade later, sixty-two supporters ran 161.75 miles around the installation over the course of 24 hours in memory of Sgt.
