Brass is ejected from a weapon fired by Staff Sgt. Manoj Mukkada, a noncommissioned officer representing the 18th Fires Brigade at the 82nd Airborne Division's Noncommissioned Officer and Trooper of the Year competition, March 19. Mukkada, along with only four other NCOs, is competing for the coveted title of Division Noncommissioned Officer of the Year.
