Why we serve: Pfc. Nicholas Bakker

Pfc. Nicolas Bakker, a medic assigned to Company C, 1st Battalion, 187th Infantry Regiment, 3rd Brigade Combat Team “Rakkasans,” 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault), serves because he wanted to do his part for the United States, as well as take care of troops in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.
