Brig. Gen. Niel E. Nelson speaks to Thai students after participating in the dedication of Ban Hun Wang Ta Krang elementary school’s new secondary facility built by U.S. and Thai Marines in Phitsanulok province, Kingdom of Thailand, Feb. 20 as a part of exercise Cobra Gold 2013. CG 13, in its 32nd iteration, is the largest multinational exercise in the Asia-Pacific region and demonstrates commitment to building interoperability with participating nations and to supporting peace and stability in the region. Nelson is the commanding general of 3rd Marine Logistics Group, III Marine Expeditionary Force.
