The inaugural transfer, consisting of 10 units of whole blood from each country, occurred following coordination between the two contingencies at NATO’s largest dedicated multinational medical exercise Vigorous Warrior 24. Vigorous Warrior is NATO’s largest medical exercise, uniting more than 1,600 participants from 33 countries to exercise experimental doctrinal concepts and test their medical assets together in a dynamic, multinational environment.
