The Kentucky Air National Guardsmen were executing an Innovative Readiness Training (IRT) program in support of Operation Arctic Haven. During the operation, the National Guard Bureau utilized KYANG airlift assets to transport 340,000 pounds of residential building supplies to Arctic communities experiencing housing shortages. IRT is exclusive to the United States and its territories and delivers joint training opportunities to increase deployment readiness. Simultaneously, IRT provides key services, such as health care, construction, transportation, and cybersecurity, to U.S. communities. (Alaska National Guard photo by Alejandro Peña)
