    Exercise Balikatan

A casualty response documentation tool shows injury and treatment information for a notional casualty during Balikatan 24 on Naval Station Leovigildo Gantioqui, Philippines, April 24, 2024. U.S. Marines with 3rd Littoral Anti-Air Battalion, 3rd Marine Littoral Regiment, 3rd Marine Division, and Philippine Marines with Shore Based Air Defense Battalion conducted bilateral convoy operations training during which simulated adversary forces caused a large number of notional casualties. The training was part of Balikatan 24, an annual exercise between the Armed Forces of the Philippines and the U.S. military designed to strengthen bilateral interoperability, capabilities, trust, and cooperation built over decades of shared experiences.
