From left to right, U.S. Army Spc. Kyle Cook, a Human Intelligence Collector representing 321st Expeditionary Military Intelligence Battalion, 259th Military Intelligence Brigade, and Sgt. Tiger Colunga, a Human Resources Specialist representing Detachment Six, European Command, win Soldier of the Year and Non-Commission of the Year during the Military Intelligence Readiness Command’s Noncommissioned Officer and Soldier of the Year competition held April 9 to 15, 2024 at Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Wash. Competitors are evaluated on their ability to adapt and overcome scenario-based battle focused events, which challenge the full spectrum of technical and tactical proficiencies necessary to ensure success while conducting operations in uncertain conditions. Winners in both the enlisted and noncommissioned officer categories will represent the MIRC in the U.S. Army Reserve Command's Best Warrior Competition this summer. (U.S. Army photo by Pfc. Sar Paw)
