U.S Marine Corps 1st Sgt. Christian Hudson, the weapons company 1st Sgt. with Battalion Landing Team 1/1, 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit, breaks a concrete block during a field competition on Camp Hansen, Okinawa, Japan, April 10, 2024. The event was a multistage competition testing Marines physical ability and teamwork between different companies of BLT 1/1. The 31st MEU, the Marine Corps’ only continuously forward-deployed MEU, provides a flexible and lethal force ready to perform a wide range of military operations as the premier crisis response force in the Indo-Pacific region.
