Bryan Roman, a Field Artillery Firefinder Radar Operator assigned to the Headquarters and Headquarters Battery, 1st Armored Division Artillery, performs the sprint drag carry during the Army Combat Fitness Test portion of the Division Artillery Best Redleg Competition at Fort Bliss, Texas, April 2, 2024. The ACFT was the first event in the rigorous, six-day competition held at Fort Bliss that tests a Soldier's physical strength as well as mental flexibility.
Every competitor's performance is assessed, and the winners will go to represent the 1st Armored Division to compete at the inaugural General Raymond T. Odierno Best Redleg Competition, happening at Fort Sill, Okla., the ancestral home of Field Artillery in May 2024.
