Joseph Schrider, a field artillery firefinder radar operator, assigned to 1st Battalion 10th Field Artillery Regiment, 3rd Armored Brigade Combat Team, 3rd Infantry Division, reports to the president of the board, 1-10 FA Command Sgt. Maj. Mark A. Aaron, during a "back to the basics" promotion board Jan. 4, at Camp Buehring, Kuwait. The unique feature of this promotion board was to get a total soldier concept by testing soldiers in subjects such as drill and ceremony and Army leadership as well as execution of basic soldier skills such as proper radio communication, map reading and first aid.
