Alternative rock 'n' roll band Hip Kitty preformed for deployed servicemembers at Camp Leatherneck, Afghanistan, Jan. 1. Hip Kitty played classic songs from bands such as Bush, Nirvana, Joan Jett and a few original songs. When Hip Kitty is not entertaining their fans, the band works with Cell Phones for Soldiers, an organization that recycles cellular phones to provide calling cards for deployed troops.
