Armory hosts annual Marine Corps Holiday Classic track meet

An athlete laughs as he executes pull-ups during the annual Marine Corps Holiday Classic track and field meet at The Armory New Balance Track and Field Center in Manhattan Dec. 27. Participants in the Marine Corps pull-up challenge are required to start at a dead hang with elbows completely locked out and pull themselves up until their chin breaks the plane of the bar. If their elbows don’t completely lock out in the down position, that pull-up won’t count.
