Volunteers pass through Arlington National Cemetery, Va., to lay wreaths at the grave sites of fallen service members to honor their commitment and service to their country, Dec. 15, 2012. The wreaths were laid as a part of Wreaths Across America, a nonprofit organization founded in 2007 to expand the annual Arlington National Cemetery event that had been instituted in 1992 by Morril Worcester. This year the organization will place 406,000 wreaths at 815 locations in all 50 states and national veterans cemeteries around the world honoring the sacrifices service members have made for their country.
