The Defense Attaché staff of the Federal Republic of Germany officiated a German Armed Forces Badge (GAFPB) event hosted by the 3d Infantry Regiment (The Old Guard) on Joint Base Myer-Henderson Hall, Va., Aug. 29-30, 2023. The German Armed Forces Proficiency Badge is a German military award similar to the U.S. Army’s Expert Soldier Badge and consists of knowledge and skills-based tasks, a physical fitness test, pistol marksmanship, a swim event, and a ruck march.
