Standing in the middle of an ocean of bottled water is Staff Sgt. Franklin Stoner, a native of Scottsburg, Va., and serves as the Class I non-commissioned officer in charge, for the 62nd Quartermaster Company, 68th Brigade Support Battalion from Fort Hood, Texas, attached to the 1st Sustainment Brigade. This cache of more than a half-million bottles of water is only a fraction of the water destined for Soldiers, civilians and contractors serving in Multi-National Division – Baghdad this summer. March and April is a time when water levels are on the increase in anticipation for the hot days of summer. (U.S. Army photo/SSG Bryant Maude, 1st Sustainment Brigade)
