Deltang is the former commander of the 247th and received the award for his leadership coordinating bi-lateral events between American and Japanese soldiers. The 247th MP partners the 136th Military Police Company, Japanese Ground Self Defense Force, Okinawa, Japan, for several bi-lateral engagements throughout the year.
