Part of a longstanding tradition within Army rocket and missile units, soldiers from 1st Battalion, 94th Field Artillery Regiment, taped the hat of one of their new leaders, 2nd Lt. Michael Tollerton of Sarasota, Fla., to the exhaust end of a High Mobility Artillery Rocket System. The blast from the launch of the rocket, Nov. 9, at Yakima Training Center, tore Tollerton's hat to pieces, which the soldiers returned to her.
