Former crew chief Richard Devine is honored with his name above the navigators station on board a U.S. Air Force KC-135 Stratotanker tail number 58-0057 assigned to the Iowa Air National Guard’s 185th Air Refueling Wing on May 25, 2023. Devine’s name is displayed with the unit patch of the defunct 42nd Air Refueling Squadron. Devine was part of the 42nd ARS where he was one of the aircrafts first crew chiefs at Loring Air Force Base, Maine when air refueling aircraft was brand new during the late 1950’s.
