Words engraved in the side of the Indiana World War Memorial ring true the purpose of Veterans Day. Outside of this building, veterans from all branches of the military gathered in a ceremony to celebrate the accomplishments of those who went before, of comrades in arms who have served honorably and have time and time again laid down their lives to ensure the way of life Americans enjoy today. After the ceremony, veterans, joined by countless other organizations simply hoping to pay tribute, took to the streets for a parade around the American Legion Mall in Indianapolis, Saturday, Nov 10, 2012.
