Non-veteran homeless and people in need go through the check-in process with Goodwill required for aid during the Department of Veterans Affairs Annual Stand Down Against Homelessness, Oct. 19, 2012, at the North Charleston Armory. The event was started to provide a "one-stop-shop" for all veterans and people in need aid them in getting off the streets, which included medical care, transitional housing assistance, food and clothing.
