An enemy car bomb was blown up by coalition forces near Samarra, Iraq, during Operation Fulton II Jan. 18. U.S. Army 1st Sgt. Robert Gray of HHB, 2nd Battalion, 320th Field Artillery Regiment, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) and his company were part of this operation to uproot extremists with the help of local Iraqi informants. The 22 enemy car bombs were found by the Bastogne Brigade in January.
